Dang, I hate this part
Hi yawl my name is Rank and I am addicted ....
I linked here from OSR and I gotta say the Chevy script on the logo is really classy.
I am 59 (WOW!) and have a '59 Chevy Sedan Delivery which has been a fun project .... and still a ways to go.
Have messed around with cars forever.... got my first at eleven years old , a 53 Chev and have dirty fingernails since.
So if their are no futher questions then I will just take a seat.

Now...........that didn't hurt that much did it?Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.
Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.

WELCOME!!!
Brought my first car (a 33 Ford roadster) home by the wheelbarrow load at the ripe old age of 13. Have owned 62 more since and I'm 70!!
Don't worry, you won't outgrow it.
Post some shots when you have a chance. A picture of number 22, a 59 Chevy wagon, is enclosed. Note the left front wheel off the ground.Buying parts I don't need, with money I don't have, to impress people I don't like

Painless Bob, purely painless.
Yeah Geezer, the "X" frame seems to have natural propensity to torque up a little ... reminds me of a outlaw sprint car coming outta turn four ... sends chills up the back.
I doubt if mine ever catches air with a 350/350 but it should be a nice little grocery getter.
I had a 76 Seville about ten years agon, talk about a nice road car ... sorry I dumped it now!

Thanks
Rick,
Thanks to you and your son For your service.
Rank,
Its been quit some time since I have traveled north of the Golden Gate on the 101. I didn't think there were any stop lights anymore between SF and Eureka. I'm guessing somewhere around Laytonville. If it truly is a secret there is no need to answer.

Oh no secrets here , but the "1st stoplite" thingy is a local joke because we are , in fact the first one .... I think the next is another 130 miles up the 101 in Eureka. I am in Willits, just 20 miles south of Laytonville.
We also have a arch across 101 that is sorta unique.

'93 40th Anniversary convertible with factory hardtop .... just a fun cruiser!
This was taken the day I got my 59 sedan delivery. It hadnt been registered for the road since 1969 and just rusting in place .... why do people do that?
I bet you all thought the car was green .... that was moss! Cleaned up to have a old metallic blue paint job over white. I will mess with the body when I am done with the mechanicals.
I put in a 350 300 hp four bolt with 350 tranny
Gabriel Air shocks in the rear makes the car sit just where I want it. Still need to change out the rearend gears to 3.08s ... a few more odds and ends then I am working on the body next. I am thinking painting it glacier blue with a artic white lid ... a 55 chev color combo
