Hey 73F100, Welcome! Post some pics of that truck. We'd like to see it!
Checotah is the home of Carrie Underwood, right? I'm a fellow Okie, too, from Crescent. Now in California. I'm also a fellow F100 owner...66 F100 shortbed. Still has stock 352, COM but I added Edelbrock intake & 4V carb, plus disc brakes & power steering from 78 F150. Want to lower it but haven't gotten around to that yet. Too busy working on my 37 Ford streetrod."It is not much good thinking of a thing unless you think it out." - H.G. Wells

Welcome, sounds like a nice truck! Got a '71 myself with a 351W, C6, and some mild custom mods--someday I'm gonna have time to finish it!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Love them Effes, bring on the pix and welcome aboard.
Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
