Hey! I'm a little new to Rodding, and completley new here. I started out looking for parts for my late Father's 39 sedan, and found alot of info here before registering. I bought the car from his estate and plan to keep this car in my family as an heirloom of sorts. Thanks!

Welcome to CHR Mike...you'll find lots of info on here for your project...the Studebaker truck that I am restoring, as well as my Corvair, are both in memory of my dad.

Well I think I know what you mean. My wife and I bought my late Dad's '92 Lumina and use it as our family sedan, but long ago he had a '26 T and several Model-As and that is how I got hooked on the Model-A when he talked me into spending all the money I had saved from a paper route on a '31 Fordor. It was clear he wanted the A as much as I did and we painted it robin egg blue with a brush. A bit rough but still a Father-Son project when he helped me put sealed beam headlights in it and whatever it needed for inspection a full year before I was old enough to drive!

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
