muddy paint
an older experienced painter once mentioned to me that dark paint can go muddy if it sits too long after tinting. Is this true with the new paint formulas, or is it an old wives tale.......

Thanks hotrodpaint, that is one less concern of mine to worry about. Up here in Canada it can get a little too cool to paint right now, but great deals can be had buying the stuff in the quieter time of the year.

He may have been referring to alkyd enamels, or nitrocellulose lacquer, which I have very little experience with. They were beginning to disappear, when I started painting seriously, in the seventies.
