Guide coat

I was just curious if anyone has used the 3M guide coat applicator? Its kind of like a powder puff, a guy told me if I ever used one I'd never go back to the rattlecan. AL

I use it often. A bit pricey but it's worth the extra cost. Works as advertised and no smelly fumes.

If I can just keep from dropping it on the floor and creating a black dust cloud I would be OK.

I have used it in the paint shop since its first introduction in the shops 6-7 years ago .
Its a great product and I also have my body men using it over their last skim coat of body plastic to make sure its straight .
The product goes along ways too .
And it will not contaminate your primer if sprayed over , like in pin holes small imperfections , or if you have a bad low area and needs a skim coat of Polyester Puddy for getting the panel straight .

I used it but i wet sand so i still use the rattle can.. If you dry sand, the applicator works good..

I got a can and tried it on some Harley tanks and fenders. It is different but it works good and I line the non contamination thru pinholes factor. BTW if the picture attaches here is a quick and cheap tank stand I made from a roller stand. I have another one made up htat holds fenders and saddle bags. Al
