MY only thought is that it takes a bigger compressor, or a large storage tank, to use an HVLP gun. It means high velocity low pressure, and needs a large volumn of air. You won't know until you try it, whether you will run out of air pressure too soon.
The paint I mentioned, I bought at the local Ace. I don't know if it needs primer, but with a name like Rust Stop, I doubt it.

Can you give me the criteria for identifying a class III drugs and what differentiates them from class II?
Let's say you are a car guy, can to tell me everything about every car and related technology in the world? Can you explain to me how the microprocessor for the first generation of OBD computers was developed? I doubt it.

With a syphon feed gun, it will take 3 quarts of paint plus approximately 2 quarts of reducer to paint a full size car 3 full coats. With an HVLP gun, it should take less because you will not have so much overspray. Yep, I was rude and obnoxious. I tend to get that way when I see a grown man profess total ignorance of something so easily researched.---On the other hand, I offered up a good chunk of knowledge with my rudeness and sarcasm. My mother taught me any number of sayings---one being "The Lord helps them who help themselves".---and yes, I do know damn near everything there is to know about car and related technology.---Far as class 111 drugs go, I think I did a bit of research on them in 1966 and 1967, but its all a bit hazy now---

I thought it was a pretty big compressor. I have never used it for painting, but it runs all my power tools well.

This is the 1 I am going to use,seems to require less air.Might get more paint on the truck,than in the air,maybe?:LOL:This is only to paint the truck,not detail,the deatail gun Denny showed would work great for detailing,then use the big gun on the large parts.
For cheap paint thats easy to use go for the rustoleum!!!40 bucks a gallon and its gatta be better than spray cans!:D
Thanks Denny, but I like my logo the way it is. I got away from making animated gifs years ago because of the grainy resullts. I prefer a full color spectrum jpg. (did I mention I was a graphic artist :3dSMILE: )
My best guess is that you'll need 3 quarts for your car, and you'll need a siphon feed gun. Don't feel bad about the paint cost. I don't buy anything that cheap, paying up to $400 a quart. At $50 it's close to what you spent on rattlecans, will look nicer, and last longer......and the spray gun can be used many times. I have a good gun that I bought in the early '70s that I still use daily.
But be careful and don't get the catnip & paint thinner together! Gee ol daddy what a mess that would feel like!**) :whacked: :LOL:
