Aluminum Primer
I'm getting ready to do a little project that involves covering new 1/8" sheet aluminum with spray-on 2 part urethane bed liner.
The bed liner instructions recommend priming the aluminum before applying the liner. I contacted the company about primer recommendations however I haven't heard anything back.
Does anybody have a recommendation on a good aluminum primer that is comparable with urethane?
.
.I've NEVER seen a car come from the factory that couldn't be improved.....

Look for a good self etching epoxy primer. Here's a nice, brief article; https://garage.eastwood.com/eastwood...imer-aluminum/Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

I know Raptor liner has an epoxy primer they recommend, I wouldn't think it would be different for aluminum.

I use an etch primer on aluminum. Some of the epoxy primers are self etching, just something to think about when you pick a primer.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
