paint ? bout house of kolor
Was in the paint store yesterday and they were telling me that I should sand the primer with 800 grit before putting the color down....... now granted I haven't paint for years but 800 seems way to fine to me...... I was thinking more like 400..... can someone let me know if they are right
I'm using House of Kolor bc26 sg112 and sg114 with a uc35 top coat
Thanks

The reason for 800 is to keep sand scratches down so your Kandy will look good , but it doesnt have the bite ( in my oppinion) for it to last. I would go with 500/600 grit wet,and then spray a sealer before top coating.
I feel this is about as fine as i want to go for good adhesion .

They always tell me to use a 800 grit as well. I think Colorex (Auto Air) told me the same before I lay the base coat. Not sure on that though, I thought the same thing.www.streamlineautocare.com
If you wan't something done right, then you have to do it yourself!
Ditto on the model kits! My best were lost when the Hobby Shop burned under suspicious circumstances....
