applying lacquer clearcoat

i'm spraying one of my cars with acrylic lacquer. i'm then going to spray an acrylic lacquer clearcoat. i'm wonering what prep should be done (if any) to the fresh paint before i spray the clearcoat.

you dont have to do anything as Lacquer is what is called Thermoplastic, what this means it can be re-flowed by heat or appling more lacquer color over it no matter the age, so your base doesnt need anything done unless it has runs or dirt sanded out or fixed...ect

Did you spray a lacquer base down. Lacquer is not to be sprayed over any thing but lacquer. Lacquer is the hotest thinner on the market. Thats way it used to clean up any paint sprayed. If you sprayed a laquer base you should have sprayed the clear at the same time. I you sprayed some other kind of paint other than laquer you should not use it. It will bust up the paint and you will have a big problem. If it was lacquer you can respray up to 30 days with no problem. The hot thinner will melt in. Do not mix lacquer and any other kind of paint.

havent used lacquer clear ALONE for awhile, unless there is graffix or wild stripes or??? --- otherwise i would only mix the clear right in with the paint on the last few coats once the car is totally covered in color!

YES !! GOOOOOOD STUFF ...........a nice lacquer job will get you guys hoooooovering around your car waiting to ask you: WHO PAINTED THAT CAR? WHAT KIND OF PAINT IS THAT? ITS SOOOOOOOOOO SMOOOOOOOOOTH!

THEN they will say that stuff cracks! LOL! YEP, then you can ask them if they own a FUTON!?
