1968 Pontiac 428 engine and trans
I came across a great find a 1968 428 pontiac engine and trans. I would love to see it go to a great home, like a GTO , Lemans, Fire Bird. sorry about the bad pictures. Make me an offer i live in California and might be able to deliver it to you wthin a reasonable distance.

Still have those?
I just picked up a '50 Pontiac Silverstreak and will be needing a good motor. It's a little before I am really ready, but I am in CA and if the price is right we might be able to work something out.
Thanks,

For shipping info, call Motor Cargo, or Yellow Freight, or some other LTL (less than truck load) hauler/shipper like GI Trucking, etc.; you see them around town all the time. They have terminals in Bakersfield, Visalia (area), and Fresno, andor probably one of the other towns locally - maybe even Tulare.

Socal
Yea that would be cool if you come pick it up. Im only like 4 hours from you. You bring the pick up and i have a hoist. You will need a hoist or some thing stong to lift it out of your truck. I remembered to bring my comprssion tester home today. I just need to get out there tomarrow and get that monster to crank over. It only needs a coil and a battery to get it to start everything is there. not to sure my neighbors will like it to much. I have a guy from Texas that wants it badly for a GTO , Socal first person that brings me cash gets it. $500.00 for everything. Heck just one of the 428 cylander heads in worth that. If you want me to seporate the engine and trans just let me know and i'll go get it done. I live in Tulare California. Just take the 5 till it turns to 99 hwy Stay on 99 the whole way when you get to the huge farm equipment show Neon SIGN youve made it too Tulare.Last edited by n2bunkerball; 01-13-2006 at 08:55 PM.

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
