I read on someone's profile at a different site that the 3rd gen's can't have true dual exhaust and he we having to cut the floor and stuff...is this true?

Yes, some of the late 3rd gen Camaros came with duel cat exhaust systems from mother GM. I am adding a non cat duel system to my 84.
Just not cheep to buy the system:(

then make it :) get the specs and make the system yourself
fabrication people! it is the poor man's talent!!
Last time I checked I did not have a mendrel in my shop to get the smoth bends in the pipe:D And buy the time you buy 2 Flowmaster's and the stainless steel pipe, might just fork out the $$$. After all it's only money:D

Take the car to a good muffler shop and have them build a system. Just put in an "X" pipe to balance the flow...

True duals are cool but they really aren't necessary if you build a "Big Single" system. Run your "Y" pipe into a 3" single in/dual 2 1/4 out muffler. Works where space is limited and sounds just as good.
