As a teen growingup in Ireland I saw the movie Thunder Road and promised myself that one day I would have a car just like it. Last year the Flathead had a "catastrophic melt-down" so after a winter of saving, hard work, total support and understanding by my wife we're back on the road June 4/10. Only now THE Ford has a 351W, C5, & A 9 rearend to go with the 3' dropped spindels, new springs and brakes all round and heavy anti-sway bars. Except for the rake and the sound our clone looks like it just rolled off the assembly line. We'll cruise two towns over for bread and milk just for an excuse to go out; it IS a REAL daily driver 3 seasons of the year, going to work, shopping and show'n shines; if we get up in time to make them.
