Charlie Ryan was a WW2 veteran, hot rod enthusiast, and musician. He listened to a new song, “Hot Rod Race “, which inspired him to build his own hot rod, and right a song, a sequel to Hot Rod Race “, that would become a famous song, Hot Rod Lincoln” !!! He took his personal 1941 Lincoln Zephyr, removed the body, shortened the frame, and installed a 1948 Lincoln Continental v-12 with a 3 speed overdrive transmission, and topped the chassis off with a modified 1930 Ford model A. This is the “real” Hot Rod Lincoln, the actual car the song was written about!· Date: · Views: 269
