Here is one of those necessary tasks that take time. In this case, three half days of drilling, filing and fitting the tabs for the top bow attachment for a folding top. The top is on order from Brookville but they sent the wooden tack rail and these tabs first. I forgot to order these installed by Bebops and I did not want to use heat near the fresh paint so I had to make some amateur brackets from angle iron along with stainless bolts. The slot in the top of the 'glass quarter panel was carved out with a drill and cleaned up with a Dremel high speed grinding stone. I had to use a right angle attachment on the drill and drill upward. This area will be covered with an upholstery panel later and the result seems quite rigid. My next rod will be better except there will probably not be a next one, so upholstery will have to cover some of these irregularities.· Date: · Views: 4,557
