I generally am turned off by the term "Rat Rod", but that looks like a nicely built truck. I like the grille, too! Not sure what you mean by "rat rod wheels & tires" - the steelies you have now are period correct, and fit the "look" very well, IMO. Maybe a different color on the wheels?? I would just drive it!Last edited by rspears; 10-28-2012 at 11:09 AM.

I guess you're right, but when one presses the "Today's Posts" everything new pops up, and the category they're in is pretty much lost. No one pays much attention around here which categories things are posted in, and besides, I'm saying that your truck is not what I think of when someone says "Rat Rod", which too often is built purely for shock effect without regard for safety. It's a cool truck, but you seem to be offended by my comments so I'll bow out.
Welcome to CHR, by the way, and I hope you'll stick around and post more pictures as you make the truck yours.Last edited by rspears; 10-28-2012 at 01:54 PM.

I think you misunderstood "RSPEARS" his comment was complimentary not disrespectful.
"RSPEARS” is one of the kindest members on this board, I don’t believe he would say anything to intentionally hurt anyone.
AND it is a GOOD Rat Rod! I especially like the pie pan floor board patch panel.

Personally, I wouldn't class it as a rat, it's too clean, the work looks first class..
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.

I like the lines & theme, metal work looks straight. You going to take it any further? Great touch driving over the camera have not seen that one before.I have two brains, one is lost and the other is out looking for it
You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
