57 chevy rims and tires
This is probably a pretty simple question for most of you, however I need some help. I am working on a 57 Bel Air and was wondering if anyone knows the widest set of rims and tires I can fit on the front and rear of my car. I do not want to mess with the fender wells or tub out the car. Right now I have 15" 205's on the front and back. Ideally, I would like to have the widest possible tire in the back with a large side profile and what ever will give me a traditionall hot rod look on the front. I have allready decided on cragar ss rims for the car. If anyone can help I would really appreciate it.

p245/60r15 are in the back of my 57 there is about
1 inch clearance between tire and fender, when i take
the tire off i have to put jack stands under the frame
and let the rear end hang down to remove the tires.
i run a smaller tire in front 215/65r15 you can go
bigger but i dont know how big on the front.
We managed to get a couple of other small things taken care of. One was blacking out the front of the core support. When the sun hit the front of the car just right that green paint on the core...
