Wiring and Power Accessories
I have a few questions on wiring here. I have been making a huge list here for my truck and looking through all these parts, prices, brands, etc so if you guys notice I am asking even MORE questions than I normally do then this is why. My windows in the truck are pretty screwed up, I lubed up the tracks, tighted all the loose stuff in it, etc and they still wont rull up unless I pull the window too. Also the pins in there keep slipping out and my window falls all the way down and out of the track and now the windows are all scratched up. So here is my plan... Power Windows and power locks since the locks are screwed up too.
LMC Truck has the power window and remote lock kit.
1.)Now I dont know about the remote lock since if the battery in the key thing dies then I am screwed so thought I would go with the Electric door lock where you do it inside. What do you guys think on this?
2.) The price for the Keyles is 70 bucks and plain one that you do from inside is 50 so is this price reasonable?
3.) Is 150 bucks for the Power Window Kit reasonable too from LMC?
Ok now, for the wiring and the fuse panel, etc.
4.) There is no more room for more power options like the windows, etc, should I get a whole wiring kit from painless or such or what should I do here? I noticed someone tied in a fuse to another fuse and put 4 wires together on the same unit and that doesn't look good to me and plus the wiring is very crappy.
I think I saw that painless has a kit where you can add onto what you have now but not sure if I should just redo the entire truck because I plan to add new speakers (whole sound system from Kicker), the power locks, power windows.
Thank you for any help on this, I am completely unsure of what to do here. I figured you guys went through this before and I dont want to spend money unless I have to so I dont want to buy something that I didn't really need or where I can find it cheaper.

If you wan't something done right, then you have to do it yourself!
In our neighborhood, 2 blocks down the hill was a gas station that (to me) all the cool car guys hung out there. 32 coupes, 33 & 34 Fords as well, a sweet 56 Ford Beach wagon that was setup gasser...
How did you get hooked on cars?
