NEED HELP wiring please!
Hello All, I've posted a couple of threads and you guys help out alot.My problem is I bought a 1978 ranchero (429 obviously not factory), but the ignition box, solenoid, and coil were removed. So I am kinda starting from scratch with the wiring.
My question is what wires are needed just to start, and keep the car running. I've found a few wires laying not conneceted to anything I hooked them up to a solenoid I picked up at a junkyard. I tried to crank the motor over w/o the ignition hooked up( just the battery and solenoid), and all I got was a click in the solenoid. Someone told me to tap the solenoid that didin't work either. The battery was tested and charged no problem there so I'm kinda stumped. I bought a multimeter tester to check power sources. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jeff

heres the solenoid
the solenoid, there is a fusible link wire going to the alternator, a fusible link that I don't know where it goes too and isn't connected to anything, and a wire going to the wire harness leading into the interior.
