Thread: Building a jig for frames.

Well Guy's I've started a major project for me and my son.
We've built our selves a steel table to use as a jig.
It's 8ft.long by 4ft.wide and 3ft. high.
My plan is to drill holes around the table, then use angle to bolt to the table. Then the plan is to take some big bolts put side ways through the angle with a plate on the end to keep the bolt from scratching the frame. These are to hold every thing tight, from the sides when welding. We will have other big bolts that will
come up thrugh the table to adjust the height or make it level from end to end. I am using 2x3 for my car frame.
Any Suggestions or tips since this is my first frame build.
The old frame is 2inches wide and 2 3/4 high.
The inside of the frame is 26 inches wide, to out side is 30in.
Is there a standerd height on the kick up for the tub rear end.
I am gonna use a Ford 9 in rear end. What should the width and height be on the tub/back part of frame? The frame is already very narrow at 26inches on the inside. { Suggestions Please }
