Does anyone know if anyone makes a steel replacment roof for a model A coupe? This seems like a very common mod done, yet there is none out there. Also if anyone knows of a good donor roof (what car). Thanks!

I just did this on my coupe a couple of months ago. I used the front half of a 1986 Toyota van roof turned around backwards. The contour is a perfect match for the Model-A coupe roof.
Lot of folks used a station wagon roof as the filler, but theres a company out in Texas that makes a very nice ribbed roof filler

Thanks for all the info!
How did the roof project work out for you? I checked that website and noticed that they were for the 28-29 models. I noticed an s-10 the other day and it had a ribbed roof that looked about right. Can you send pictures or tell us how you can weld the roof in and get it straight. Thanks
NAH .. Ya just did'nt look in the right place, they list em for 30 to 31 coupe, ribbed & non ribbed & they also list em for the pickup, Mine worked out very nice, had the right curve in it, was nice heavy gauge metal & the ribbs look very cool..I'll try to put up a picture....Quote:
