Another lesson!
Man I have been trying to do a complete mock up on my car for a few weeks. Well I brouht a modified c-6 trans last year from my machine shop, who the owner was selling it for a friend.Me being limited in these areas, I trusted his opinion and brought the reverse shifting trans with a 4500 stall. My engine is a big block 460, bulit for racing and some conner cutting sometimes. To make a long story faster, the c-6 trans will not bolt up to the big block ford which unknown to me and maybe a few others that not all c-6 trans mount the same. This c-6 is for a small block ford which I thought olny c-4 trans fit.
Questions:
1). I found some c-6 adaptor plates of line anyone ever use them?
2). Can I put this c-6 trans internals in a different housing that would fit my big block.
3). If the adaptor plate can be use; can the performance trans handle the torque of a big block ford with big cam and torque and horse power.http://s36.photobucket.com/albums/e44/tzamk2/

The first model car I built was a 32 Ford roadster by Revell in the mid 50's.
