Hi, on my 77 chevy Corvette the tachometer does not work.. Anybody know how to fix this? Did anybody have this happend to them on there corvette? Thanks for any help?:confused: **)

Check to see if the cable is broke, sometimes they don't get lubed properly and bind up and break the cable.

What controls the tach? what cable?. Is it the one off the trans? I thought that was the speedometer cable. Could it be the circuit board? They have new ones at eckers for $ 59 would that do it?
Well, you said the tach was mechanically driven....so it would be the cable from the distributor to the tach. If it is not a mechanincal tach, but rather an electric tach then you either have a bad connection or a bad tachometer.
