66 chevy neutral safety switch
Heard a "tink" sound when downshifting (column) my 66 Nova. My neutral safety switch is now broken and I've bypassed the switch so the car will start. After removing the position adjustment screw, I thought the switch assembly would just pull out of the steering column. Nope...is there a trick to it or should I just pull harder? Also, can I buy these new or is it off to the junkyard? Thanks!

Are you sure there was only one small screw? Usually there are two screws holding those things onto the base of the column.I intend to live forever; so far, so good.
