I am new to this, but my wife has a 1966 Chevelle SS396 Conv. I am trying to find out what is the best way to put hyd fluid in the motor that raises and lowers the top. The car belonged to her late husband and he completely rebuild the car from all original parts before he passed away. So in a way I guess I inherited the upkeep of the car after our marriage. Thanks for any help on this.

Run down to the medical supply store and buy the biggest hypo/needle they've got.
Do you try to fill the lines or take the plug off the motor and fill the motor and then try to get the air out of the system. Hate to ask what may seem like a stupid question but I have never messed with a conv. top before and I have worked on cars for many years.
just finished my 66 impala convert. you should change out the old brake fluid to auto trans fliud. won't dry out and cake like brake fluid. pull plug on pump,the spouts on most trans oil cans can be cut to fit. fill with fluid 75%,or bottom of hole leave plug cocked to the side not pushed in, put rag under plug, cycle top once check oil. repeat if ness.
