Fuel Line Conversion Help?
Hi, I'm working on a drivetrain conversion. I'm installing a Chevy 3.8 3800 Series ll V-6 into my 2002 PT Cruiser. I'm not familiar with the quick disconnect fuel line fittings that the late model cars are equipped with these days. My question is this: What would be the best way to connect the existing Chrysler disconnect fuel line fitting to the Chevy fuel rail which also has a quick disconnect fitting on it? The Chevy V-6 engine is out of a 98 Camaro. The distance between the two fittings are approximately 4 feet apart.
For those who would like to see where I'm at with my conversion, you can do so by checking out this link: http://ptcruiserworld.tenmagazines.c...ry.ten?id=3504

gassersrule_196, Yes, the Hemi would have been nice. However,
I would have had to do a lot more mods to complete the conversion. My two main objectives were to keep the original dash as is, and to utilize the same front suspension. So far, I have been able to do both. Also, with the V-6 I'm still able to run my original airconditioning. Thanks for your comment.

Dave Severson, you are probably right. However, I'm trying to accomplish this task without having to disconnect the fuel line from the fuel tank. I'm thinking perhaps I may be able to solder a fitting to the existing removable portion of the Chrysler quick disconnect fitting while it is disconnected. I should be able to do all of my soldering or welding mods from that point, all the way up to the Chevy fuel rail while the original Chrysler quick disconnect fitting is disconnected. This would really simplify the work to be done. What do you think?

Fuel Line Conversion Help Update!
I ended up purchasing my parts from Car Quest. I got the Dorman brand quick disconnect fuel line fittings, and a 25' fuel line roll made of nylon. Napa also has these parts. Thanks to all who supported me.
