454 Nova
OK well i've come along way from wanting a 350, now i have a 454, my question is, what will i have to do to make it fit in my 1968 Chevy NOVA
? I'm planning on hooking it to my fireball powerglide for the time being. Im worried about it hitting the master cylinder/power booster?
Will this be a problem?

The 454 would be a bolt in,you definately want to use after market mounts,it wiil rip the stock style in two. If the valve cover doesn't clear, you could put on a smaller one,I saw dozens of them the last time I did a strett rod parts search on ebay. Hank

Since that body style came with the 396, and many dealerships upgraded to 427 & 454 motors, the swap shuld be simple. You might look into a radiator upgrade, too.

Use Moroso solid steel mounts. I had a 454 in a 66 Nova it pretty much bolted in.

The guys are correct. I put a 402 BBC in my '68 Camaro that originally came w/ a SB 327. Low profile valve covers are the way to go and can be found anywhere. Also, upgrade to BB motor mounts. Problem will be your headers (assuming you're running them instead of the old manifolds) clearing the steering box. Might have to put a ding in them to clear the bolt on the top of the steering box. best of luck!
