Question fiberglass rear fenders,..what about em?

Just finished talking with my painter & he steered me towards replacing my old ( 1941 chevy 1/2 ton ) rear fenders with 'glass ones..
    paint story:
fenders: gloss black just like stock,
bed & cab: gloss ,- McCoy Pottery Green
    riunning boards: black rino liner.

I'm all in agreement , as I can either keep or sell my old ones.
any comments or info on the subject
