I need a dual remote power brake booster
I've recently purchase a 25T with 289 Mustang engine and tranny, Corvette rearend and 4 wheel disc brakes. I received some information from the seller but 1/2 of it was incorrect. It is currently up on blocks getting a new wiring harness and I want to take care of some mechanical problems. I had the remote power booster rebuilt but it came back faulty (new problem created: it locked up all 4 disc brakes). Now I'm running manual brakes but it takes a lot of pressure to stop because of the pedal ratio. I can either have a new pedal with the correct ratio welded into place (not much room) or I can go back to a booster assist config. I've updated from a fruit jar master cylinder to a dual chamber mc. I can only find 2 dual remote booster units, 1 in Calif which measures 11x24 which may not fit behind the running board to frame area and 1 unit in Conn but they did not give dimentions on their website. The unit in Conn is about 1/2 the price as the Calif unit. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.NPRfan

You can source dual Boosters from early 1960's Rovers (english car) they where a dunlop or girling system,,,some jags had a dual setup as well.
also,,sounds like you havent installed the pressure limiting valve to the rear brakes.
80% of the braking comes from the front discs,,,the limiting valve reduces pressure to the rears."I don't know everything and i like it that way"

I have a brand new dual 7" booster that is small enough to fit under the floor. I bought two and now only need one. It has never been mounted. I can dig up the receipt and find out what I paid or you can make me an offer.

dual remote booster for "T"
From Thunderbucket: also,,sounds like you havent installed the pressure limiting valve to the rear brakes. I do have a proportioning valve but I don't think that is what you are talking about. I'll look into that.
From: Shaggy's Dad: I have a brand new dual 7" booster that is small enough to fit under the floor. I am very interested in your booster. If you could provide the maker, size and photo if possible and the price. Could you also indicate if there is 1 or 2 in's and 1 or 2 outs. I would greatly appreciate itl My email is fAtencio@earthlink.net. Thanks.NPRfan

I have just the booster which bolts up to your dual master cylinder. The dual 7" is intended for 4 wheel discs. You will need "residual valves" for each circuit to prevent backflow with the value dependent on whether you have discs or drums. The brand of the booster is Master Power brakes or something like that. Nowadays they're probably all made at the same chinese factory with a different brand slapped on. sad but true. I'm working 40 hours in the next 2 days so it maybe wednesday before I can get you a pic and find that receipt.

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
