I am thinking of putting a power brake booster in my 76 Nova . The brakes are horrible right now and I need to improve them . Has anyone gone this route . would appreciate any help.

The car has new calipers , rotors , drums , pads, shoes, spring kit . I am going to try to bleed them when I get a chance . I just thought a booster would give me more pedal pressure . Could the master cylinder be gone?

can you run a booster on the nova ? this is the one with the big block in it. and has a big cam in it? if you do not have enough vacuum you can run a vacuum pump on it to make the booster work or a vacum can.if not stoping good look at the push rod if it is bent for the master

Thanks Pat I will look at the rod. The motor is pretty lopey . I might have to run a canister.
We managed to get a couple of other small things taken care of. One was blacking out the front of the core support. When the sun hit the front of the car just right that green paint on the core...
