Whats cheaper for heat Gas/Elec?
I also have been looking into a infrared heater anybody use this kind in a metal shop,they come in Gas/Elec. Thanks

My experiance is gas is usually the best deal, BUTTTTTTT with the the price increase of natural gas this season I'm seeing the bills at the house and the shop almost double over last year and we have'nt had any real cold weather here yet.
I just don't know how the average workin families gonna handle having to budget an extra 3 to 4 hundred bucks a month for their heating bill this winter....

Oh and the infareds work very nice,although I prefer forced air......

Have you thought about getting a oil burner? In our old workshop we had an oil buner that ran on used motor oil. We would have these big square plastic barrels full of nasty old oil delivered, and the system worked quite well, and was pretty cheap. We only went with gas forced air because we built a new shop that was about 6 times bigger.Please look below for more about my car...
