I think the technology will stay with run flats as being the new thing. If run flats come available in wide whites and in performance tires, I'm shure the custom/ hotrod market would take hold. Simple reason, no spare needed.
That is definitely an interesting article. While this did mention heat and cost, not mouch if anything was said about performance, i.e. traction. Also, pardon my chemistry ignorance, but isn't polyurethane made with a lot of petroleum products? Seems we really don't need something else that consumes oil. Will be interesting to see what else they might make out of the stuff.
