Yes I finally hit my car with my explorer, I backed out of my drive way and cut the wheel to sharp.
Well I hit the rear quarter on the driver side behind the wheel with the bumper. I put a crease dent into the panel. What is the best way to pound it out? do I need a hammer and a dolley? Or is there another way to do this, specific details on this would really help.
This really pi$$e$ me off as I was all done with the body with the exception of replacing the rust under the doors and had set up to have it painted the end of feb. Now I gotta restart the body work again, or at least the rear.

just work it out gently. dont pound on it or you will stretch it more. an old body man i once worked with had wooden mallets he used a lot. never figured it out untill i started working metal.

Working backwards from where the damage ended to where it began helps.

You have stretched the metal & the fastest way to shrink the metal is by heating a small area , hammer & dollie it, & shrink with water, then continue forward.

If you do not have torches you can try shrinking (slaping) files & a dollie.

Ugh that sux................Thanksgiving wknd Leo(the boyfriend) took his 34 truck to the bar where we shoot pool and some one backed into the passenger side front fender bent it clear up to the engine compartment

I did that to my brothers vette many years ago and tore out a chung of fiberglass about 8"x8". The end of the bumper on my van caught the vette right behind the rear wheel well....bad day that day.:CRY:
