My radiator in Buford needs replaced. I see both Jegs & Summit have their own brand of Alum radiators for around $170.(2-1" rows)
Has anyone used either of these or have any knowledge of them?

We're interested too. We're wondering if thiers will hold up for a high HP application.
BTW Don, that's a nice looking project ya got there.
Hi Don, I have a Summit in my mustang. I only drive it 1 or 2 weekends a month to local car shows and at the drag strip. But it does a good job of cooling the 460. It's probably not the slickest looking aluminum rad. right out of the box, but it can be polished up to look real nice. I've been running it for 1 1/2 yr. now with no problems.
RJ & CJ, my engine puts out @600hp. I run a 180 deg. thermostat and 16# cap. I also use a CSI electric water pump. I've had no problems on the street or the strip.
Does your Summit radiator have U-channels that connect the side tanks at the top & bottom? They are a lot easier to mount if made that way.....thanks
i have a jegs radiator, works great, was cheap, but the one i got had no mounting brakets so i welded some angle on each side tank. runs cooler than the older one i had
cevin-The lack of a way of mounting a radiator can be a problem that I'd like to avoid. Did you TIG weld brackets to the radiator?
yes, you can also buy with most type of brackets on them if you have all your measurements so you know exactly what you need, but call jegs or summit and talk to a tech guy, you'll get a lot more info on the phone than you will in the book.
Thanks cevin....I'll do that.

Hi Don, sorry for the delay. Yes The summit has u-channels top and bottom. I just drilled holes thru the flange and made some aluminum tabs to mount it, very simple. Not the best pics but maybe you can see enough to get the idea
Sorry, I don't know how to get the pics to load.
Well I think the best radiator for my trk is a Ron Davis alunimum unit sold by speedway. It has U-channels top & bottom for mounting,2-1" tubes & a fair price($209).
