9" carrier change?
I have a F-100 that I need to change the gears and posi unit in. I have changed Chevy's but never Fords. Does everything unbolt and come out the front on a Ford 9"? Posi unit 'AND' ring and pinion as a 'assembly'? The Chevys I've done were fairly easy but I don't know anything about the 9". And will the axles have to be pulled out? Thank you.Hey has that thing gotta Heme in it? No, it's a shevy not heme!

Thanks Pat. So with no c-clips if I unbolt the axles at the wheel/backing plate then the axles come out and then the pig can be removed, sounds like.Hey has that thing gotta Heme in it? No, it's a shevy not heme!

My grandfather, mom's side, drove a 39 Plymouth coupe when I was about 4 or 5 and I thought it was pretty cool and I loved the tail fins on the 49 Cadillac. I drew cars when I was in the 5th and 6th...
How did you get hooked on cars?
