I'm hotrodding a '38 Ford Pickup and need to put seats in it from an existing car. Any suggestions what type of car/truck is popular to use as a doner? Thanks, Dave

I used a bench seat out of a Dodge Caravan. I perfer bench seat over Bucket seats. Just about any seat available can be made to fit your 38.
i love my 1993 trans am seats.
picture of my bench seat.
Hedtrpr,
You might want to look at an 88-94 Ford Ranger. Some have the 60/40 split bench seat, some have a straight bench seat. The older ones have no headrest. All are about 51 inches at the widest point.
Attachment 13973 I used seats from a Chevy Astro Van. They have the risers on them and also have arm rest. I put them in my 39 International and made a console for the Mege shifter. Keith in Missouri
I've used Ford Escort seats in a 35 Ford Trk. They are narrow & fit well.
