Yes you can,but if you do that, you will have to turn it off yourself, before getting out, unless you have the remote power wire hooked to the accessory wire, but i would try to find out why its not getting power ,you might have a bigger problem
have you checked the fuses on the fuse panel yet?, if not there, most aftermarket stereos have an inline fuse on the power wire... check for ground also.Quote:

Is to trace the original wire, if you can, and then plug another wire in exactly the same place. If the radio still doesn't work, it's either the fuse box or the radio. If you lightly and quickly ground the new wire to something else (without blowing the fuse, just super fast rub it past some metal, like the brake pedal stem) while still having the other end in the fuse box, you need to see some sparks. If you don't, something's wrong with the fuse area.
Even if a fuse looks good, it still may be blown. A very small crack in it will stop current.
If all that works, it's probably the radio. Replace it.
Hahahahaaha
i just ran a power and ground wire from a fuse and hooked it up to the radio and nothin. i hooked up the same wires to a diff. CD player and i got some power so im gonna put the other one in. i found a harness that is made to install a aftermarket cd player in the stock plug. all i need to do is unplug the old one and hook up the new cd player to the harness and plug the new one in right?
Should be OK, providing that the aftermarket harness matches your new player, and that the stock harness is working properly.Quote:
