1979 Courier
I have the chance of picking up a 1979 courier for $50. I was wondering what the frame dimensions are? And was wondering if this would be a good donor frame for my 26 touring car? Does anyone know anything about these trucks? I am figuring on keeping the chassis like it is, and take off the cab and cowl and fabricate the touring car around the dash and everything else so as to be able to keep most of the truck like it is.
Any ideas on the best way to do this?

They were pretty good little trucks my dad had 1, shifted it with a crow bar put over 300k on 1 engine and got another engine from a Mazda P/U, eventully the trans came apart going down the road and he drove it to the junk yard . There the same as the Mazda B1200 I think the model was, probably some sites with the dimensions. I'd pass on using it tho, the frames are notoriouse for rusting out, I'd at least check it over real good. they cracked right where the cab and bed meet. hope this helps.

Thanks Matt, I plan on sandblasting the frame and beefing it up abit, as they are only 4 bangers and I plan on putting in a v8, so the cracking frame could easily be fixed.
