got a MIG welder...how do I go about welding STAINLESS?
how do I set up the welder and what do I need to get in the way of supplies? Gun movement/placement during welding? I'm thinkin of welding like 1/8" brackets, exhaust part, and lightweight stuff. Any help or steering me to the right web site for "how-to" would be appreciated......sum R not...and sum R....

i have welded 4 type ss with mild steel wire. but if 3 type s steel you may want to look at ss wire for this and mild steel will rust in time .all ways put more heat on the thicker steel for s steel you may want a 3 mix on the gas or talk to where you get your welding supplise on the 3 gas and wire i tig all the ss now. but have used mig wire welder many timesIrish Diplomacy ..the ability to tell someone to go to Hell ,,So that they will look forward to to the trip

4 ss is the class of ss steel this will not rust but in time will turn orange you can check it with a magnet it will draw to it is magnetic and is used in exhaust and 3 class is not magentic and is use in the medical field and used in food plants and pipes pans tanks any thing that will not rust and can take corrsion there is many thing s it used in but this is the short list if you have class 3Irish Diplomacy ..the ability to tell someone to go to Hell ,,So that they will look forward to to the trip
Sorry for your loss of friend Mike McGee, Shine. Great trans men are few and far between, it seems. Sadly, Mike Frade was only 66 and had been talking about retirement for ten years that I know...
