Pontiac or Import?
I just read a new testing on the new GTO.
What a joke I can't tell if its a import wannabe or just a joke of an attempt at replacing the Trans am.
An Edsle has more styling IMO and I am not impressed with what they are calling high performance 14 sec in the quarter, I mean come on it looks like a shaved down sunfire crossed with a grand am. Hell I can make a pinto run 14's too but its still ungly. They plan on old GTO owners to like this car? Where does this styling even show anything like a TRUE gto?
Atleast the new mustang went with a somewhat retro look.
And the cost estimated at 30 to 38k ? I can buy a focus or sunfire at 18k and make it run just as fast if not faster with less money.
I just wanted to know what yall think about the GTO wannabe

JP, here's a link to a thread from a couple weeks ago that will give you some of the opinions. http://www.clubhotrod.com/forums/sho...ghlight=gto%2AYour Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.
Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.

It has 2 doors, 4 seats, a V8 and RWD. Right now it's the nearest thing to a ponycar that GM has.
Give the car a couple of years to mature and they will start offering lower trim lines and possibly more power. The car has potential to go fast, it's just overburdened with power everything.

My grandfather, mom's side, drove a 39 Plymouth coupe when I was about 4 or 5 and I thought it was pretty cool and I loved the tail fins on the 49 Cadillac. I drew cars when I was in the 5th and 6th...
How did you get hooked on cars?
