Hi,
I'm planning brakes for a streetrod project.......and for a 4000# streetrod, will the standard Wilwood 11" rotor , 4 piston caliper front brake setup provide for good braking, or does the upgrade ( + $2000)for the Wilwood 13" rotor, 6 piston caliper make sense.
Please let me know your thoughts......

My advice is to stick with the 11" rotors unless of course you are planning to run this thing at Watkins Glen International Raceway (road race course). The upgrade to the 13" rotor and six piston calipers would be a waste of your money for a street driven car.Quote:

my gto is all of 3700+ and the stock wilwood 4pistons small rotor stops very good you do not need the 6 pistons less you have to have them for The Look i would have had to run a bigger rim so i just used the 4 piston kit the only thing that i can not tell you if they will have fade with the thin rotors in heavy useQuote:

If brake fade is a consideration, then go with an 11" brake that uses a wider vented type rotor.... Like the others said, unless you want the bragging rights of a 6 piston brake, no reason to spend the big $$$$$$$....
