Stuck brake drum on 48 ford
I can't get ther rear brake drum of on my 48 Ford F1 truck. The parking brakis off an the wheel spins, but even hammering on the edge of the drum I can't get it to budge forward. Any ideas?" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

Thanks, I was afraid to beat on it too hard, but a combo of heat and hammer did the trick. Steve." "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

Are you using the correct puller? The drum and the hub come off together. You need the puller that indexes into the groove on the drum snout. You should not use a 3 arm puller. Loosen the axle nut, untill it is at the end of the axle thread, install the puller, tighten up the puller bolt, smack the end with a large hammer. Good Luck. Billk
