I recently bought a Nova drag car w a 9" RE in it. Its missing the center section I need to replace it , preferably w 3:50 -3:89 geared chunk
The RE has custom length Moser 35 spline axles, which I want to keep. Can I or should I ??
A. Swap out the side gears for 35 splined ones, (As IF I knew where to find them )
B. As was suggested by him have the Moser axles resplined for 31 splines
and get a 31 spline truck chunk.

I cannot just pop open the check book and start writing here. So we're talking LOOOOOW Budget here. I should also make it clear about the cars intended use. The car in returning to the street w only a couple actual drag racing grudge nights plus a few runs at a local strips cruise weekend (probably only six Qtr runs, the whole summer) + will have a moderate BBC /T400 and street tires (Sportsman I's)
