Does anyone remember....
On an episode of trucks (maybe?) the the guys took a tub and filled it with some sort of liquid and placed a rusted part attached to a trickle charger and let it sit over night. The next day no rust! I havn't been able to find what they used!

If you can't get it at the grocery store, try a pool supply place. They should have soda ash (washing soda).Jim
