My car's original title (Louisana) had the engine number on it as the car VIN. In fact the Title VIN wasn't even the engine in at the time. It was the original 6 cyl engine that it came with in 1934. Initially amusing, but it wasn't amusing after PA DOT got a hold of the Title. They were a tad unhappy and that made my life very unhappy for about 8 weeks.
Thanks guys... I need to have a chat with the dmv... I found a 51 project CHEAP but am concerned that the title doesnt match the tag in the door jamb...
Defintitely a big Texas "NO" pardner! on that one. My 1934 Ford Texas title definitely has the VIN number on it.
