I can't seem to find a fuel tank that will fit my T the way I want with enough capacity so I thought I might try to build one myself. Looking for any good pointers or threads.

I've got the shape figured out pretty basic with not many welds to reduce the chance of leaks. It will be 33" long by 12" at the top and 8" at the bottom and 15" deep with a cut out to fit around my diff. I was thinking about sealing it with the tank sealer from Caswell as it has worked well on my choppers. Also I might as well add baffels.

I'm trying to figure out the fittings I need for a remote filler and fuel lines and was wondering if I had the right 45 degree neck. It looks like it has a supply, return and vent built right in. Then I'll just need a sending unit but I'm not sure if I should get the 0-180 or 0-90 ohm??????

Here's a picture of the neck and sending unit:

Also do you mount these before you weld it all up, I can't figure out how you'd get at the bolts on the inside??

Anything else I would need or any sort of advice. I plan on using 16g steel and I have a tig welder but I'm not very good with it, is it okay to mig it?

Thanks for reading the long post,
Sean
