Yes, no good on the fuel pump, been there, done that and on my way to a run. I too hope your car goes down a treat as you deserve the acknowledgement of a job well done.I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

Junk new parts? Weird. Have fun at the show, I'm sure it will draw a lot of attention. I hope I can make our local show, that's at the end of July.Seth

Yeah, I say it's "new" but it was new a few years ago; just has very little runtime on it. The pump motor locked up for some reason.1 Corinthians 1:27

Rotory impellers have those problems with any kind of sediment, etc in them------

You'd think with a new fuel cell and all new lines that wouldn't be an issue but who knows what grit might have been in the gas. I put a filter in front of the pump this time.1 Corinthians 1:27

Got the car cleaned up and been cruising around for the last few days; a few little bugs to work out but really happy with it. I took it over to the original owner's house and took him for a ride; he was really happy to see it going again. That's him in the last picture. Last time he drove it was around 1980 and it was parked after that.1 Corinthians 1:27

It must've been a special moment to have him climb aboard.
The car came out great.

The car looks absolutely magnificent, and is a real credit to the fella that built it...you.
Well done, top marks; it's beautiful.johnboy

Thanks; it has been one long, adventurous journey on this one. Probably my last full blown frame off project, at least for a long time. It'll be nice to actually enjoy driving it instead of spending every spare moment trying to get it finished up. I am so ready to be working on something else!1 Corinthians 1:27

We did a nice long burnout out of his driveway and he's like, "Hey, it didn't used to do that when the old six cylinder was in there!" Lol!1 Corinthians 1:27

Yep. What he said... Beautiful!
You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
