Crackle Paint Advice
I am about to paint my truck and I thought I would do a special effect on parts of it.
I want to paint a crackle finish or pattern on parts (not a krinkle or wrinkle but a open crackle).:o
Can some one tell me an easy way to achieve that affect?

your going to have to test this to make sure it works because crackle as an automotive finish, well... it's the first I'v heard of such an idea... but at the craft stores, there is an acrylic based medium called crackle medium, it blends with the paint and causes a crackle.. being acrylic based, it might blend into an acrylic based automotive paint but I'm not sure. Elmers glue also causes paint to crackle but it's thickness, won't spray and thinners would eat it.

Google "Metalflake company". They used to make a product called Vreeble, that was a crackle finish. The company is much smaller then it was before HOK, but you can ask if they can help.
