Is there a quality difference between a BDS Blower & a Blower Shop Blower???

Hi All, Is there a quality difference that anyone knows about between the blowers from The Blower Shop & Blower Drive Service? Thanks, Bill

well bds is very nice stuff . i did two 502 that had The blower shop blowers on it was nice stuff but intakes were crapy for port size .at the time i did my car the there was a shortage on the 871 blowers ? NO one had any but BDS .i just did not have the money for the blower and went with the B&M i can not bitch$$ it was nice but is not a 871 for the look .i had work on a 392 that have a bds and it was a very nice blower the case was very nice i did a 454 with a new 671 from weiand could have been better we filled the blower at the end of the day came back the next day 80/90wt drooling out of the blower and on the floor:eek:

.....thanks Pat, thanks Ted, the reason I asked is I got my 392 turn key motor from Big Al's today & it has a Blower Shop Blower on it where as the add & picture tell & show a BDS Blower. Oh & it has a Weiand manafold on it.... I just thought the BDS cost more & were better cuz I believe they are tefflon lined..... I shouldn't bitch cuz the motor looks KILLER!!! :-) I just HATE the bate & switch thing {if that's what's going on}.... I also need to call Al tomorrow cuz I had Summit send him a Edelbrock Victor water pump {$290 polished} but my motor came with a Weiand! {that sells for $128!!!}. Don't know if Summit sent the wrong one or not!!! Anyway, should I worry about the fact that it's a Blower Shop blower & not a BDS???? Thanks again ;) Bill

ps, and I think that the cam is HUGE for a 392! {or 398 as it's .030 over}. It's 248/254 duration at .050. Lift is .589 intake & .578 exhaust.....
