Wiring question
I am wiring my 1951 Chevy 3/4 ton and need to know if anyone sells some kind of device that covers the wires coming out of the 1" hole in the firewall. I am keeping my firewall clean but all these wires are looking like a bunch of spaghetti. I will be using the split loom but I would like something up there that covers the wire coming out of the hole so that it doesn't look so obvious.1951 Chevy 3600 Long Box

Take a look at Watson's http://www.watsons-streetworks.com/aluminum_trim.html
I'm using the first one. I believe that I have 9 wires up to 12ga coming through it. The other is an alternate. There are other pieces you can see by opening the web site.Dave W

Thanks Dave
The "Billet wire pass through" is sort of what I am looking for. However I need something less brilliant than the shinny aluminum. My firewall is black and I would rather have something black if possible or if not black then something in a dull color.1951 Chevy 3600 Long Box

....scuff it with Scotch-Brite then rattle can it. It really would look nice shiny on the firewall though.
A hint or two - if you buy either one, there is a drilling template printed on the instructions - it's a bit off. Make up your own. I made mine out of a piece of scrap 18 - 22 ga steel. Another little trick - use the supplied #6 mounting screws, cut the heads off making them studs, then Lock-Tite them in the pass throughs, and assemble with nuts and lock washers. It's a heluva lot easier.Dave W
