When I cant sleep Ithink dumb quests. When I had a455 in my car ,2 1/2 inch ex. pipe worked o.k.with dual exhaust.I f I am building a v6 262 engine w/ stock exhaust manifolds, would 2 or 2 1/4 inch dual pipes work well enough?the car will wetgh about 2700 lbs.It will never cross 5000 rpm.

Either would work but with the smaller V-6 I'd probably use the 2"Keep smiling, it only hurts when you think it does!

I would go with the 2" also, its still plenty big ebough if you want to do another upgrade someday.

Big pipes on a small engine sound bad, kinda hollow and wimpy. Smaller ones snap and bark better. It probably won't make any diff to the power, but duals are as much about sound, anyway. V6's snap out duals anyway, because of the even power pulses out each pipe. A V8 is a bit ragged out each pipe.
